Departures Egg board CEO leaves amid controversy Joanne Ivy recently quit her job as CEO of the American Egg Board after emails surfaced showing she tried to stop the sale of vegan mayonnaise at Whole Foods Market grocery stories, The New York Times reported. AEB is a commodity checkoff program used by the poultry industry to raise funds for promotion of eggs to consumers. Given the quasi-governmental status of such programs, Ivy's emails to Whole Foods were seen as inappropriate.
